The Essence
"World's first breadfruit vodka from St. Croix, blending Caribbean breadfruit with purified rainwater for a clean, tropical spirit with citrus and green banana notes."
Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion
Mutiny Island Vodka was born in 2017 on the island of St. Croix when Chef Todd Manley witnessed the Caribbean's heavy reliance on food imports. Following hurricanes Irma and Maria, Manley committed to creating a sustainable agricultural product that would benefit the environment while generating jobs and food security for the local community. Working with his business partner and award-winning distiller Chris Richardson of Chesapeake Bay Distillery, Manley pioneered the world's first breadfruit vodka. Breadfruit, a flowering tree from the mulberry and jackfruit family, is one of the highest-yielding food plants requiring minimal care. The trees sequester significant amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere, returning more carbon to the soil than conventional seasonal crops. Mutiny Island operates a zero-waste facility and participates in multiple breadfruit initiatives, making sustainability central to its mission. The vodka won Gold at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Distilled from breadfruit cultivated on St. Croix and combined with purified Caribbean rainwater. Single distillation process perfected with award-winning distiller Chris Richardson. Zero-waste production facility. Charcoal filtration for purity and smoothness.
