The Essence
"Traditional Russian premium vodka from Moscow Distillery Crystal, crafted according to heritage recipes and modern quality standards."
Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion
Moscow Distillery Crystal was founded on June 24, 1901, as Moscow State Wine Warehouse No. 1, following Sergei Yulevich Vitte's 1896 decree establishing a state monopoly on Russian alcohol production. The distillery became the birthplace of the legendary Stolichnaya brand and grew to become Russia's largest liquor enterprise. During World War II, beyond vodka production, the facility manufactured Molotov cocktails for the Soviet war effort. Despite severe damage from a German bombing on July 22, 1941, production continued, earning the distillery the Banner of the State Defense Committee for its wartime contributions. Following the Soviet Union's dissolution in 1993, the distillery transitioned to private joint-stock company status. In January 1987, it received its current name, Moscow Distillery Crystal. The brand's vodka line was rebranded in 2018, maintaining strict compliance with premium standards while offering moderate pricing that distinguishes it from competitors.
Distilled using traditional Russian methods in column stills with local Moscow water sources. The vodka undergoes multiple distillation cycles and charcoal filtration to achieve clarity and smoothness. Production follows the heritage recipe standards established during the Russian Empire's alcohol monopoly era, incorporating quality control measures developed by Russian scientific committees.
