The Heritage

Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion

VIDO Premium Vodka represents the realization of a family vision. The Monson family, which owns and operates Goose Ridge Estate Vineyard in Richland, Washington, created this innovative spirit to honor their father Arvid Monson, a visionary entrepreneur whose diverse business interests included cattle, apples, vineyards, and wine. Arvid dreamed of producing a premium vodka from his estate grapes—a dream his family has now fulfilled. Unlike traditional vodkas made from grains or potatoes, VIDO is distilled from grapes harvested and pressed from the family's 2,200-acre vineyard near the Red Mountain AVA. The grapes are fermented until dry (12-15% alcohol), then distilled to 190 proof. The highest-quality spirit is selected, filtered through coconut husk carbon, and bottled. Co-president Molly Monson-Stutesman notes that grape-based vodkas retain something of their berry essence, making VIDO elegant with refined smoothness, aromatics, and distinct but subtle nuances—much like wine, the flavor profile depends on the fruit.
