The Heritage

Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion

Viru Valge represents over six decades of Estonian vodka craftsmanship, first produced by Liviko in 1962 at a time when the brand became a cornerstone of Baltic spirits production. The hornblower symbol has adorned Viru Valge since its creation, becoming iconic in Estonian culture. The vodka is crafted from high-quality Estonian grain and specially processed groundwater, reflecting the distillery's commitment to local sourcing and traditional methods. Liviko itself traces its roots to 1875 when Friedrich Rappuhn established the first proper spirit manufacturing facilities in Tallinn, though the modern production association was formally established in 1971. Viru Valge has earned significant international recognition, including a Gold medal at the 2015 International Wine & Spirit Competition and a Platinum medal at the 2016 SIP Awards, cementing its status as one of Estonia's most decorated vodkas. The bottles are produced at the Järvakandi glass factory, located 85 kilometers from Liviko's main facilities.

Triple-distilled from high-quality grain spirits using column stills. Groundwater is specially processed through coal filtration to achieve optimal purity. The production process emphasizes local Estonian ingredients and traditional distillation methods developed over the brand's six-decade heritage.
