Ursus Vodka

Ursus Vodka originates from Iceland, where its recipe was developed by a traditional Icelandic distiller family in the early twentieth century. The name is Latin for 'bear,' symbolizing the bold and cold nature of the brand. From 1995 until 2006, Ursus was distilled and bottled by Distillery De Hoorn BV in Hoorn, Netherlands, establishing itself as a reliable European vodka. In 2004, the brand was acquired by Diageo, one of the world's largest spirits companies, which continues production today. The vodka gained notable visibility in 1994 and 1995 as the main sponsor of the Pacific Formula One racing team. Beyond the classic straight vodka, Ursus expanded its portfolio to include flavored variants such as Ursus Roter (sloeberry), Ursus Lemon, Ursus Blackcurrant, and Ursus Punch, catering to diverse consumer preferences.
