Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion
Master Distiller Harlen Davis Wheatley spent a decade perfecting HDW CLIX, envisioning the ultimate expression of vodka craftsmanship. The project required seven years of design and installation of a specially-constructed series of copper and stainless steel stills, cookers, and fermenters. The name CLIX—Roman numerals for 159—commemorates the extraordinary number of separate distillations required to achieve this exceptionally pure spirit. Over the course of production, 28,400 gallons of mash were distilled 159 times, yielding only 332 gallons of finished vodka, enough for approximately 2,000 bottles. After distillation, the vodka rested for twelve months in cool, dark stainless steel tanks to ensure optimal smoothness. Each hand-formed lead-free crystal decanter is engraved with a unique batch and bottle number, making it a collectible expression of precision distillation.
Grain mash of soft red winter wheat, rye, yellow dent corn, and malted barley fermented and distilled 159 times through custom-designed copper and stainless steel still system. Aged 12 months in stainless steel tanks. No charcoal filtration; purity achieved through extreme distillation cycles and extended maturation.
