Uncompromising Passion
Haku represents the culmination of Suntory's century-long pursuit of excellence in spirit-making. Founded in 1899, the House of Suntory was built on founder Shinjiro Torii's vision to create original Japanese spirits using the riches of Japanese nature and meticulous craftsmanship—a philosophy known as monozukuri. While Suntory pioneered Japanese vodka with Hermes Vodka in 1956, Haku emerged as their modern craft expression, launched in the United States in 2018. The name Haku translates to both "brilliance" and "white," honoring the pristine white rice at its heart. In Japanese culture, white rice has long held sacred significance, reserved for worship and the imperial family, making it a luxury ingredient. Distilled in Kagoshima, Kyushu, and filtered through bamboo charcoal in Osaka, Haku embodies the Japanese commitment to transforming simple, noble ingredients into refined spirits. The meticulous milling and polishing of the rice contributes to its distinctive mild and subtly sweet character, making it equally suited for sipping neat or crafting Japanese-inspired cocktails.
Distilled from 100% Japanese white rice in Kagoshima, Kyushu, undergoing three distillations. Filtered through bamboo charcoal in Osaka to achieve a soft, round profile. The careful milling and polishing of the rice grain contributes to the vodka's mild sweetness and clean character. Gluten-free due to rice base.
