White Mischief emerged as India's dominant vodka brand under United Spirits Ltd, a Diageo subsidiary, capturing approximately 48% of the regular vodka market. Launched with a deliberate strategy to appeal to young consumers, the brand positioned itself as fun, flirty, and accessible. In 2005, actor Zayed Khan was appointed as brand ambassador, elevating its cultural presence. The brand expanded beyond vodka in 2003, introducing White Mischief Brandy in Kerala, India's prime brandy market, and launching flavored variants including White Mischief Zing with lime. The Ultra Pure variant represents the core offering, emphasizing purity and smoothness. White Mischief has become deeply embedded in Indian popular culture, notably sponsoring the Indian Premier League cheerleaders known as the White Mischief Gals, reinforcing its association with youth, energy, and entertainment.
