Uncompromising Passion
A. Smith Bowman Distillery, founded in 1934, is Virginia's oldest continuously operating distillery. Located in Fredericksburg, the distillery was purchased by the Sazerac Company in 2003 and continues to produce a diverse portfolio of spirits beyond its renowned bourbons. Bowman's Vodka represents the distillery's expansion into the vodka category, leveraging the same meticulous distillation process that has earned the distillery international recognition. The vodka is produced using the distillery's copper stills, named George and Mary in honor of the Bowman brothers' parents. The triple-distillation process ensures a clean, refined spirit characteristic of the distillery's commitment to quality. As part of the Sazerac portfolio, Bowman's Vodka benefits from the company's extensive distribution network and production expertise, making it accessible to consumers seeking American-made vodka with heritage and craftsmanship.
Triple-distilled in copper pot stills named George and Mary. The wash is heated and vapor condensed to create white dog, then redistilled multiple times for purity. Filtered through charcoal to remove impurities. Uses locally sourced water from Northern Virginia. The distillery sources base distillate and re-distills it in-house to achieve their signature refined character.
