The Heritage

Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion

Frïs Vodka was established in 1989 in Aalborg, Jutland, Denmark, emerging from a Danish distiller's innovative approach to spirit production. The brand pioneered a now-patented freeze distillation process that reverses traditional heating-based distillation methods. Rather than heating liquid to evaporate alcohol, Frïs cools the spirit to sub-zero temperatures, allowing removal of impurities that conventional distillation cannot eliminate. The vodka undergoes six complete distillations before a rigorous three-step filtration process further purifies the spirit. Crafted from all-natural whole wheat and pure Danish spring water, Frïs earned a royal warrant as supplier by appointment to the Royal Danish Court. The brand quickly gained recognition among vodka enthusiasts and mixologists for its commitment to quality and innovation. Today, owned by the Sazerac Company, Frïs remains a popular choice for those seeking an affordable, smooth vodka with distinctive Scandinavian character and exceptional value.

Six-times distilled using patented freeze filtration technology. The spirit is chilled to sub-zero temperatures to remove impurities, followed by a three-step filtration process. Base ingredient is all-natural whole wheat combined with pure Danish spring water. The freeze filtration method distinguishes this vodka by enabling removal of certain impurities inaccessible through traditional heat-based distillation.
