Absolut Citron was introduced to the United States market in 1988, nine years after the original unflavored Absolut vodka and two years after Absolut Peppar. It was the first citrus-flavored vodka to reach the market and remains one of Absolut's most popular expressions. Crafted from Swedish winter wheat sourced from 450 local farms and pure deep well water from naturally filtered aquifers in Åhus, Sweden, Citron undergoes continuous distillation—a method pioneered by founder Lars Olsson Smith. The vodka is infused with all-natural lemon and lime flavors with no added sugar before bottling at 80 proof. The fresh citrus character makes it particularly versatile in cocktails, from classic highballs with tonic to mixed drinks. Over nearly three decades, Absolut Citron has become a staple in bars and home collections worldwide, appreciated for its bright, tangy profile and smooth finish.
Continuous distillation using Swedish winter wheat and pure deep well water from naturally filtered aquifers in Åhus, Sweden. All-natural lemon and lime flavors are infused post-distillation. No added sugars. Bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
