Żubrówka Bison Grass Vodka
Palate Architecture
The Essence
"Polish flavored vodka infused with bison grass from the Białowieża Forest, featuring notes of lavender, vanilla, coconut, and almond with a distinctive grassy character."
Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion
Żubrówka's origins trace to 15th-century Polish nobility, who added bison grass blades to vodka for both flavor and purported aphrodisiac properties. The grass, Hierochloe odorata, grows exclusively in the Białowieża Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage primeval forest in northeastern Poland home to approximately 800 European bison. Commercial production began in 1928 at the Polmos Białystok distillery. The brand became a lucrative export during the Communist era and has regained significant Western popularity in recent decades. Each bottle contains a single hand-picked, naturally dried blade of bison grass. In 2003, EU regulations established that authentic Żubrówka must be produced in Poland using only Polish ingredients. Today, it ranks among the world's top-selling vodka brands, available in over 80 markets. The spirit represents a unique intersection of Polish heritage, natural ingredients, and centuries-old tradition.
Produced at Polmos Białystok distillery using rye grain base, triple-distilled in column stills with local spring water. Infused with hand-harvested, naturally dried bison grass from the Białowieża Forest. Charcoal filtration applied post-infusion. Each bottle contains one authentic blade of bison grass.
