Uncompromising Passion
The Naud family's distilling heritage spans nearly a century, beginning in 1923 when Emile Perrier founded Distillerie du Donjon in Pons, Charente-Maritime. His descendants—Jean-Gabriel, Robert, and Catherine—maintained the tradition through Cognac production. In the late 1990s, Jean-Michel Naud, an oenologist, redirected the family's expertise toward innovative spirits, departing from the region's traditional Cognac focus. In 2017, Jean-Michel and his son Pierre relocated operations to the original grain mill that Emile Perrier had converted into a distillery in 1936. Drawing inspiration from Perrier's original recipes and the family's five generations of distilling knowledge, they developed Naud Premium French Vodka. The spirit is crafted from carefully selected winter wheat sourced from fertile lands northeast of Paris, blended with spring water naturally filtered through the estate's limestone soils. This terroir-driven approach reflects the family's philosophy of capturing the essence of French agricultural heritage in a contemporary spirit.
Distilled from premium French winter wheat and blended with spring water naturally filtered through limestone soils on the estate. The vodka is produced at the historic grain mill facility, employing traditional distillation methods refined over five generations. The production emphasizes purity and the expression of cereal character, with subtle malted barley and roasted hazelnut aromatics preserved through careful handling.
