Uncompromising Passion
Wyborowa, meaning 'fine' in Polish, was first produced in 1927 at the Polmos Poznań distillery and became the first vodka brand to achieve international trademark status. The name originated from a favorable press article that paired the adjective 'wyborowy' with 'wódka.' Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Wyborowa dominated European markets, accounting for over 60% of vodka exports to the United Kingdom. The brand survived Poland's economic transition in the late 1980s and early 1990s and continues production using time-honored Polish distillery traditions refined over nearly 500 years. Wyborowa is one of the few Polish vodkas eligible for the protected designation of origin 'Polish Vodka' and has won gold medals at the World Spirits Awards for three consecutive years. Known among vodka enthusiasts for exceptional purity and value, it remains a cornerstone of Polish vodka heritage.
Double-distilled using traditional Polish methods. Rye grain is ground and cooked with heated water from the distillery's own source, treated with enzymes for starch hydrolysis, then fermented in stainless steel tanks to produce 'wash' at 7-11% ABV. The raw spirit undergoes multiple filtration techniques to achieve purity and smoothness characteristic of premium Polish vodka.
