The Heritage

Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion

Ukiyo Japanese Rice Vodka represents a modern interpretation of Japan's centuries-old distilling tradition. The name Ukiyo, meaning 'floating world,' reflects a Japanese philosophy of living in the present moment, detached from life's hardships. Originating from Okinawa, Japan's tropical island known as the Hawaii of Japan, Ukiyo begins with Awamori, a traditional Japanese rice spirit found exclusively on this island. The spirit is crafted from long-grain indica rice combined with black kōji, a fermented black rice, then triple-distilled in small batches using traditional pot stills. This meticulous process honors over a century of Japanese distilling heritage while creating a vodka that rivals international competitors. In 2023, Ukiyo achieved recognition as Best Vodka in the World at the London Spirits Competition, validating its position as an accessible premium spirit that combines Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary vodka excellence.

Triple-distilled in traditional pot stills from Awamori rice spirit base enriched with black kōji fermentation. Small-batch production using long-grain indica rice variety. The distillation process emphasizes purity and fragrance, leveraging rice's reputation in Japan as the source of the purest distillates. No industrial column stills; traditional methods preserve delicate floral and citrus characteristics.
