Uncompromising Passion
Reyka Vodka represents Iceland's pioneering entry into premium spirits production. Distilled in small batches at a geothermal-powered distillery near Reykjavik, Reyka was the first vodka to be both distilled and bottled in Iceland. The name derives from the Old Icelandic word for 'steam,' reflecting the volcanic energy that powers production. The vodka is crafted from barley and wheat grain spirits using a custom-built Carter-Head copper still—one of only a few of its kind worldwide—requiring just a single distillation pass. The defining characteristic is its water source: glacial spring water from Grábrók Spring, which flows through a 4,000-year-old lava field. This natural filtration produces water so pure that laboratory testing has found zero impurities, requiring no demineralization treatment. The spirit is then filtered again through the same lava rock, creating a vodka of exceptional clarity and mineral balance. Reyka's commitment to sustainability—powered entirely by renewable geothermal energy with zero emissions—combined with its technical excellence has established it as a distinctive voice in the premium vodka category.
