The Essence
"Tasmanian grain vodka blending barley and wheat spirits with rainwater from Spring Beach, delivering a soft, marshmallow-like texture."
Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion
Spring Bay Vodka is produced at the Spring Bay Distillery in Tasmania, a craft operation located in the picturesque Spring Beach region. The distillery combines 50 percent neutral wheat spirit with 50 percent barley spirit, creating a distinctive grain-forward profile. The defining characteristic is the use of rainwater collected from Spring Beach itself, which the producers credit with imparting a soft, marshmallow-like mouthfeel to the finished spirit. The distillery operates from two locations: the original Spring Beach site and a primary production facility in Cambridge. Spring Bay has expanded its portfolio to include gin and whisky alongside vodka, establishing itself as a multi-category Tasmanian producer. The operation offers visitor experiences including distillery tours and tastings, reflecting the growing craft spirits tourism in Tasmania. The vodka is available in both 200ml and 700ml formats, marketed primarily through Australian retailers and online channels.
Produced from a blend of 50 percent neutral wheat spirit and 50 percent barley spirit. Water source is rainwater collected from Spring Beach, Tasmania. Distilled using a single Hobart-style copper still (handmade by Peter Bailey). The combination of grain spirits and local rainwater creates the characteristic soft texture. Bottled at 40 percent ABV.
