Uncompromising Passion
Distil No. 9 represents the culmination of Staritsky & Levitsky's research into authentic Ukrainian vodka traditions, revived after a century of interruption. The distillery, located in the historic city of Lviv near the Polish border, crafted this expression through extensive experimentation, with batch nine emerging as exceptionally worthy of commercial release. Produced in carefully controlled small batches of exactly 9,999 bottles, each expression combines locally harvested Western Ukrainian wheat with pure spring water from the Carpathian Mountains. The vodka undergoes five complete distillations to achieve maximum purity, followed by a sophisticated four-stage filtration process: twice through young birch charcoal and twice through amber. This meticulous approach yields a spirit that balances traditional Eastern European character with modern refinement, delivering a soft, clean palate with subtle grain and herbal notes. The result is versatile enough for classic neat service at chilled temperatures or as a sophisticated base for contemporary cocktails.
Five-times distilled in column stills using locally sourced Western Ukrainian wheat and Carpathian spring water. Purified through a dual-stage filtration process: two passes through young birch charcoal followed by two passes through amber filtration. The distillate is then blended with crystal-clear water to achieve optimal balance and smoothness. Small-batch production limited to 9,999 bottles per release.
