Uncompromising Passion
Vikingfjord Vodka was launched in 1985 as a partnership between the Norwegian state-owned Vinmonopolet and US supplier Heublein. Initial sales struggled, and after Heublein's acquisition by Grand Metropolitan in 1986, the brand was nearly abandoned. Vinmonopolet refocused on the domestic Norwegian market, rebranding it as a premium vodka made with glacial water. The brand has since expanded internationally to Scandinavia, Germany, Canada, and the United States. Vikingfjord won the Gold Medal at the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition in the Unflavored Vodka category and has received accolades from the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London and the International Spirits Challenge. The vodka represents Norwegian heritage and quality, utilizing water frozen for over 5,000 years in the pristine Jostedal glacier.
Six-column distilled from premium Norwegian potato spirit using an authentic Norwegian recipe. Blended with 100% pure glacial water from the Jostedalsbreen glacier in Arctic Norway, naturally purified through mountain rock filtration. Charcoal filtered for refined smoothness and purity.
