The Heritage

Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion

Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka represents a distinctly American approach to craft distilling. Founded in 2008 by Barry Young and his team at Pennsylvania Pure Distilleries in Glenshaw, the brand embodies a "think-local" philosophy, sourcing potatoes exclusively from Somerset, Butler, and Schuylkill Counties in Pennsylvania. The distillery operates from a historic former Glenshaw Glass works facility, where every batch is produced without automation using the "hearts" of the run from a 1200-liter copper pot still. Each bottle is filled by hand, corked, dipped in wax, batch-numbered, and signed individually. In June 2011, Spirit Journal ranked Boyd & Blair the 22nd-ranked liquor globally and the highest-ranked vodka on the list. The brand has since garnered recognition from Food Network Magazine, Saveur, Details, Food & Wine, and the Wall Street Journal, earning a 95 rating from F. Paul Pacault's Spirit Journal in 2017. This commitment to quality over quantity defines the brand's identity.

Handcrafted in a 1200-liter copper pot still using only the hearts of the distillation run. Original mash created from locally grown Pennsylvania potatoes. No automation employed in production. Each bottle hand-filled, corked, wax-dipped, batch-numbered and signed. Traditional methods emphasize taste-driven distillation guided by master distiller Barry Young's palate.
