Uncompromising Passion

Chase Distillery, established in 2008 on a family farm in Herefordshire, England, represents a modern revival of artisanal spirit production. The distillery pioneered the concept of single-estate vodka in Britain, growing all base ingredients on-site, including specialty potato varieties like Lady Claire and King Edward. Chase Smoked Vodka was the first flavoured expression released by the distillery in 2010. The production method is distinctive: water from the farm's borehole is left in the smokehouse to absorb delicate smoked flavour, then blended with the award-winning base vodka. Each batch comprises only one to two thousand bottles, maintaining strict quality control. The vodka's creation reflects William Chase's philosophy of terroir-driven spirits, where every element—from potato variety to water source to smoking process—contributes to the final character. Chase Smoked Vodka has earned recognition within the premium spirits market for its innovative approach to flavoured vodka production.

Made from specialty potato varieties peeled, heated, and mashed before fermentation with yeast. Distilled in a traditional copper pot still with steam heating, vapours rising through a 70-foot rectification column for effective 119-fold distillation. Water from the farm's borehole is smoked in-house before blending with the base spirit. Small-batch production of 1,000–2,000 bottles per release ensures consistency.
