The Essence
"Swedish premium vodka made from winter wheat and deep well water from Åhus, known for its smooth, clean taste with grain character and hints of dried fruit."

Uncompromising Passion
Absolut Vodka traces its origins to 1879 when Lars Olsson Smith revolutionized Swedish spirits production by introducing continuous distillation, creating Absolut Rent Brännvin (Pure Vodka). Smith challenged Stockholm's liquor monopoly by selling his superior product outside the city at lower prices, offering free boat rides to his distillery. After Sweden's government monopolized the alcohol industry in 1917, the vodka was sold nationwide under the same name. In 1979, exactly 100 years after its founding, Absolut was reintroduced to the global market as a premium offering, launching in New York with its iconic apothecary-inspired bottle. Today, Absolut Blue remains one of the world's largest spirit brands, produced exclusively in Åhus, southern Sweden, and sold in 126 countries. Owned by French group Pernod Ricard since 2008, Absolut sells over 100 million litres annually, maintaining its commitment to natural ingredients and no added sugar.
Produced near Åhus in southern Sweden using continuous distillation of winter wheat. Water sourced from a deep well in Åhus. The vodka undergoes charcoal filtration to achieve its characteristic purity and clean profile. No added sugar or artificial ingredients are used in production.
