The Essence
"French craft vodka distilled from organic wheat in Cognac, designed for sipping neat or in short drinks with exceptional smoothness and purity."
Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion
Sauvelle was born in 2012 from a conversation in a Camden pub between three friends—Antoine Gravouil, Olivier Carsoule, and Eric Lafon—who sought escape from corporate life. Based in Bordeaux with production in Cognac, the trio spent four years mastering vodka distillation to create a spirit distinct from mainstream brands. Their philosophy rejected the typical vodka marketing aesthetic of ice and mountains, instead focusing on craft quality that could be enjoyed neat without burning. Gravouil explains their core belief: if a vodka doesn't burn when drunk neat, it's usually good stuff. Sauvelle represents a deliberate shift toward sipping-grade vodka, crafted for discerning palates rather than mass-market appeal. The brand emphasizes organic ingredients and meticulous production methods, positioning vodka as a spirit worthy of contemplation rather than mere social lubrication.
Quadruple-distilled from 100% organic French winter wheat in copper stills located in Cognac. Multiple distillation passes remove congeners and impurities, with precise cutting of heads and tails to isolate the pure heart. Charcoal filtration further refines smoothness and purity. Spring water from the Cognac region used throughout production.
