Dorda Potato Vodka
Palate Architecture
The Essence
"Premium Polish potato vodka, quadruple-distilled from locally-sourced potatoes, emphasizing the natural character and terroir of the ingredient."
Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion
Tad Dorda established his vodka brand as a pioneer of single-ingredient varietal vodkas, rejecting the industry practice of blending multiple grains. Operating from a 19th-century distillery in Krzesk, Poland, the Dorda family maintains complete control over production from field to bottle, working with local farmers across generations. The brand's potato vodka represents Dorda's philosophy that vodka should express the authentic flavor profile of its base ingredient rather than aim for neutral anonymity. The family operates one of the last Polish vodka distilleries owned and operated entirely by a Polish family, using traditional copper stills and hand-crafted methods. Each varietal—potato, rye, and wheat—is distilled separately to preserve distinct characteristics and mouthfeel. This commitment to craft and terroir has positioned Dorda as a significant voice in redefining vodka as a spirit with discernible character and regional identity.
Quadruple-distilled in column stills using locally-sourced potatoes from fields surrounding the Krzesk distillery. Water sourced from Polish springs. Charcoal filtration applied post-distillation. Production completed largely by hand using original copper stills. Estate-produced with complete control from fermentation through bottling.
