The Essence
"French premium vodka distilled from winter wheat in small copper pot stills and finished with Swedish spring water for a clean, refined character."
Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion
Cape North represents a distinctive European collaboration between French grain expertise and Scandinavian water purity. Gabriel Boudier, a family-owned distillery established in Dijon, France, sources neutral spirit from French winter wheat and subjects it to redistillation in small copper pot stills—a labour-intensive process that preserves subtle grain character. The resulting distillate undergoes meticulous filtration through diatomaceous earth using a Kieselguhr filter to remove impurities while maintaining complexity. The final step involves reduction to bottling strength with water sourced from one of Sweden's most renowned springs, shipped specifically for this purpose. The resulting vodka presents a clean, lightly grainy profile with restrained pepper heat and faint nutty undertones. The stocky frosted bottle design, prominently featuring a Swedish flag, signals the brand's Nordic water heritage while maintaining French production credentials. This blend of French craftsmanship and Scandinavian resources creates a vodka positioned at the intersection of continental European vodka traditions.
