The Heritage

Crafted with
Uncompromising Passion

Du Nord Social Spirits emerged from Minneapolis with a dual commitment: crafting quality spirits and driving social change. In 2021, the company rebranded and introduced Foundation Vodka, replacing their original L'Etoile Vodka. Made from corn, Foundation Vodka carries a subtle sweetness balanced with crisp, clean characteristics. The brand's defining feature is its direct social mission: a portion of every bottle sold supports the Du Nord Foundation, established in 2020 following George Floyd's murder. The Foundation's initial Recovery Fund distributed nearly $500,000 to BIPOC small businesses in Minneapolis and St. Paul, operated a community food shelf, and now develops programs supporting BIPOC entrepreneurs. Available nationally on Delta Air Lines and through select retailers, Foundation Vodka represents a spirit designed for versatility—straight, on the rocks, or mixed—while embodying the company's philosophy of raising up both glass and world.

Corn-based vodka distilled in Minneapolis using standard column still methods. Gluten-free production ensures accessibility for those with grain sensitivities. The spirit undergoes filtration to achieve its clean, crisp profile with balanced sweetness. Water sourcing and specific still configuration reflect craft production standards typical of contemporary American distilleries.
