Uncompromising Passion
Smirnoff's story begins in 1864 when P.A. Smirnov founded a vodka distillery in Moscow with a mission to make high-quality spirits accessible to all. After the Russian Revolution, the brand was reestablished in the West during the 1930s by American liquor distributor Heublein, who repositioned it as a premium vodka. The pivotal moment came in 1941 when Smirnoff's head collaborated with a California bar owner to create the Moscow Mule, a cocktail that revolutionized vodka consumption in America, tripling sales within a decade. This innovation established Smirnoff as a pioneering force in cocktail culture. Today, owned by British multinational Diageo, Smirnoff No. 21 is the world's number-one vodka, distributed across 130+ countries. The brand has consistently won prestigious awards, including a double gold medal at the 2009 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Its iconic red arch label and commitment to smooth, versatile taste have made it a staple in bars and homes worldwide.
Triple-distilled using column stills with corn as the primary grain base, supplemented with rye and wheat. Ten times filtered through charcoal to achieve signature smoothness. Made from three simple ingredients: water, grain, and yeast. In the United States, the product is certified gluten-free.
