Koskenkorva Vodka Original originates from the small village of Koskenkorva in Western Finland's farmlands, where the distillery began experimental distillations in 1941 and commenced systematic production in 1953. The brand represents a marriage of traditional Finnish distilling heritage and modern sustainable practices. Using barley grown within a 200-kilometer radius of the distillery, Koskenkorva has built its reputation on purity and authenticity. The distillery operates on circular economy principles, utilizing 100% of grain with barley husks fueling a 10-megawatt bioenergy plant. Continuous distillation through 9 columns with 99% efficiency produces unfiltered grain spirit. Local Rajamäki spring water is used without additional filtration.
